There have been about 514 Leap Years since Caesar created it in 45BC.

Without the extra day every four years, today would be July 28, 2013.

Also, the Myan calendar did not account for leap year, so technically the world should have ended 7 months ago.

Actually, the Mayans never fortold the world ending in 2012. the Spanish/Europeans say that the calendar ended in roughly 2012 so naturally they figured the world was going to end. The Mayans were masters of reading the stars and astronomy, they new about the leap year.

The Mayan calendar doesn't take leap year into consideration because it doesn't need to.

Fun Leap Year Factoid...Years that are evenly divisible by 100 are not leap years, unless they are also evenly divisible by 400, in which case they are leap years.
